Police Charge Man After Pursuit - Central Coast 9 October

A man will face court charged following an alleged pursuit on the Central Coast earlier today.

About 11.10am (Thursday 9 October 2025), police were patrolling Avoca Drive, Kincumber, when they attempted to stop a vehicle.

Police have been told that the vehicle had allegedly been stolen from Wodonga in Victoria yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 8 October 2025).

When the driver allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit continued for a several minutes before it was terminated and police lost sight of the vehicle.

About 11.25am, police attempted to stop the vehicle on Kalaroo Road at Bensville.

A second pursuit was initiated, and continued to Daleys Point where the pursuit was terminated.

During a search of the area, police located the vehicle abandoned on Daley Avenue.

Following further patrols, police arrested an 18-year-old man on nearby Empire Bay Drive.

He was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with two counts of police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, and not give particulars to other driver.

He was also charged with a further six offences over matters alleged to have occurred near Albury in the state's south earlier this month,

  • Aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence
  • Use etc offensive weapon with intent to commit indictable offence
  • Take and drive conveyance without consent of owner
  • Robbery armed with offensive weapon
  • Dishonestly obtain property by deception, and
  • Larceny.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 6 tomorrow (Friday 10 October 2025).
