Police Charge Man After Pursuit, Crash At Hawkesbury

A man will face court charged following an alleged pursuit and crash in Sydney's north west overnight.

About 10.55pm yesterday (Wednesday 26 November 2025), officers attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command attempted to stop a black Toyota Corolla on Day Street, Windsor.

When the driver allegedly failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit continued through South Windsor towards the intersection of Argyle and Macquarie Streets, where the vehicle crashed into a white utility vehicle.

The driver and two passengers of the vehicle – a man and a woman in their 30s and a two-month-old baby – were uninjured; however, the baby was transported to hospital for observations.

A dog that was in the tray of the vehicle was also uninjured.

The driver of the Toyota – a 30-year-old man – underwent mandatory testing at the scene which allegedly returned a positive result for cannabis and methylamphetamine.

He was arrested and taken to Windsor Police Station where he was charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously, drive motor vehicle while licence suspended, and breach of bail.

He was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today (Thursday 27 November 2025).
