A man has been charged after an alleged road rage incident in the State's north at the weekend.
About 3pm yesterday (Sunday 26 April 2026), emergency serviced were called to the intersection of Brunswick Road and Terrigal Drive, Terrigal, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District attended and were told the two occupants of a vehicle were confronted by a group riding e-bikes in a carpark in Erina.
The pair left the area in their vehicle before one of the riders – a 21-year-old man – allegedly smashed the back window of the vehicle with a piece of wood, before the vehicle and one of the bikes crashed.
The Crash Investigation Unit established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the incident.
Following inquiries, police established the vehicle had allegedly struck the rider who was stationary at the intersection.
The 21-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.
At the scene, police arrested the 47-year-old male driver of the vehicle.
He was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm drive manner dangerous and licence expired within the last 2 years.
The man was refused bail to appear before Local Bail Division – Court 6 today (Monday 27 April 2026).
