Police Charge Man After Stabbing - Lalor Park 7 August

A man will appear in Court after being charged following an alleged stabbing in Sydney's west yesterday.

About 11.15am (Thursday 6 August 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing outside a shopping centre along Commercial Road, Lalor Park.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 53-year-old man at the scene before he was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command have established a crime scene.

Following a search of a unit complex on Commercial Road, officers arrested a 38-year-old man at 12.50pm.

The man was taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court later today (Friday 7 August 2026).
