Police charge man after strike force investigation at Queanbeyan

A man has been charged following an investigation into drug supply in the state's south.

In March 2020, investigators from the Southern Region Enforcement Squad established Strike Force Bozos to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Queanbeyan area.

Following extensive inquiries, investigators arrested a 30-year-old man on Collett Street, Queanbeyan about 3.30pm yesterday (Thursday 30 July 2020).

The man was taken to Queanbeyan Police Station, where he was charged with participate in criminal group, take part supply cannabis and supply prohibited drug – commercial quantity.

The man was refused bail and is due to face Queanbeyan Local Court today (Friday 31 July 2020).

Police will allege in court the man was part of a criminal group that used hire vehicles to transport prohibited drugs between Sydney and Queanbeyan.

A 60-year-old man and 30-year-old woman were arrested earlier this year under Strike Force Bozos. They remain before the courts.
