A man and woman have been charged following a major police operation in Launceston yesterday targeting drug trafficking.
A 38 year old Newstead man and a 26 year old Mowbray woman were charged last night as part of an ongoing investigation.
The man was charged with:
- Trafficking Controlled Substance
- Possess Controlled Drug
- Dealing in property suspected to be from the proceeds of crime
- Possess firearm part for which a license cannot be issued (Taser)
- Possess firearm in contravention of a firearm prohibition order
He has been detained for court and is to appear at 11:30am.
The woman was charged with dealing in property suspected of being the proceeds of crime and bailed to appear in Launceston Magistrates Court on 8 January 2020 at 9:30am.
