Police charge man for on-line deceptions

Wodonga Criminal Investigation Unit detectives have arrested and charged a man for on-line deceptions dating back to 2015.

Detectives executed a search warrant on a premises on Cookinburra Road, Indigo Valley on Sunday 8 December after an investigation into deceptions conducted through an online classified advertisement and community website.

Computer equipment was seized and a 38-year-old Indigo Valley man was arrested at the premises and charged with two counts of obtain property by deception to the alleged value of $1 million.

The man was remanded in custody to appear at Wodonga Magistrate's Court on 12 March.
