Police charge man for stealing Ford Falcons

Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives have busted an alleged crime syndicate targeting the theft and rebirthing of Ford Falcons.

It's alleged a total of 34 Ford Falcons, made between 1993 to 1999, were stolen from areas across the northern suburbs.

Detectives executed a warrant at a residential address in Greenvale yesterday, seizing three alleged stolen Ford Falcons and arresting a 33-year-old man.

The man was subsequently charged with 29 offences relating to theft of and theft from motor vehicles.

He was remanded in custody to appear at the County Court on 17 March.

Detectives have previously located a further five alleged stolen vehicles and are continuing to make enquiries in relation to the remaining outstanding vehicles.
