Police charge man found with 5000 steroid tablets in Botany Bay

A man will appear in court next month after being charged following the discovery of a large amount of steroids in a car at Eastlakes earlier today, NSW Police say.

About 11am today police from Botany Bay Local Area Command performing duties as part of Operation Odin were patrolling on King Street.

The officers stopped a vehicle in Robey Street and spoke to the only occupant of the vehicle, a 31-year-old man.

The officers conducted a search of the man and then his Lexus motor vehicle.

Police will allege that during the search they located a large quantity of steroids in the boot of the vehicle.

Located in 50 bottles were 5000 steroid tablets, which were seized by the officers, for further analysis.

The man was arrested and taken to Mascot Police Station where he was later charged with supplying not less than the indictable quantity of a prohibited drug.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 19 October 2017.
