Police Charge Man Over Armed Robbery At Glen Innes

A man will face court charged over an alleged armed robbery in the state's northern tableland's yesterday.

About 7.50am (Thursday 24 July 2025), a man – armed with a knife – entered a service station on Church Street, Glen Innes, demanding cash from the attendant.

Police were told the attendant refused the man before he locked the staff area. The man left on foot empty-handed.

Officers attached to New England Police District attended and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, about 11.30am, police were patrolling Church Street, Glen Innes when they stopped and spoke to a man sitting on the sidewalk.

The 20-year-old man was arrested and taken to Glen Innes Police Station.

He was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon and will appear at Bail Division Court 5, today (Friday 25 July 2025).
