A man has been charged an alleged assault in Sydney's South yesterday.
About 9.40pm (Tuesday 4 November 2025), emergency services were called to Abercrombie Street, Darlington, following reports two men had been assaulted.
On arrival, officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command were told two men – aged 47 and 57 – had spoken to an unknown man before he allegedly assaulted them both with a glass bottle and left the scene.
The men are not believed to be known to each other.
The 47 and 57-year-old were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for lacerations to their heads before they were taken to hospital in stable condition.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, a 43-year-old man was arrested on Carriage Works Way, Eveleigh.
He was taken to Newtown Police Station, where he was charged with nine six offences – wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (two counts), intend abusive behaviour coerce/control intimidate partner (DV), two counts of common assault (DV), assault occasioning actual bodily harm, affray (two counts) and stalk intimidate intend fear physical harm.
The man was refused bail to appear at Bail Division - Court 7 tomorrow (Thursday 6 November 2025).
