Police charge man over assault of teenager at Broken Hill

A man has been charged over the assault of a teenager in the state's Far West today.

Around 10pm Wednesday 19 June 2019 the man attended an O'Neill Street home where it is alleged he indecently assaulted the female teenager.

The man, aged 35, was confronted by another occupant in the house.

He left the home and attended a Fisher Street residence where he was arrested by officers attached to Barrier Police District at 11.45pm.

The man was taken to Broken Hill Police Station where he was charged with S.66DB(a) – Intentionally sexually touch a child 10-16 years.

He was refused bail to appear before the Broken Hill Local Court later today.
