Police Charge Man Over Break And Enter - New Lambton 27 June

A man will face court charged with property offences alleged to have occurred at a home in New Lambton early this morning.

About 5.55am (Friday 27 June 2025), police were called to a property on Royal Street, New Lambton, following reports of a break and enter.

Officers attached to Newcastle City Police District responded and sighted a man running from the rear yard of the property.

A 39-year-old man was arrested nearby following a brief foot pursuit.

Police will allege in court that man had several stolen power tools and batteries in his possession, with an estimated value of more than $3500.

The Port Stephens man was taken to Waratah Police Station where he was charged with break and enter house steal.

He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 28 June 2025).
