A 22 year old man has been charged with Criminal Code assault following an incident outside a Burnie hotel in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to a disturbance in the car park of a hotel in Mount St, Upper Burnie about 12.30am today.
Upon arrival, police witnessed a serious assault on a 36 year old man and quickly arrested the 22 year old alleged offender.
The victim received treatment at the North West Regional Hospital and has since been released.
The man was charged with Criminal Code assault and will face the Burnie Magistrates Court this evening.
