Police charge man over domestic-related stabbing - Moorebank

A man has been charged after another man was allegedly stabbed in Sydney's south west this morning.

Emergency services were called to a home on Stockton Avenue, Moorebank, just after 7am (Sunday 1 December 2019), following reports a man had been stabbed.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and found an 80-year-old man with a stab wound to his chest.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital by NSW Ambulance paramedics where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A 24-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with attempted murder and breach ADVO.

The man was refused bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court tomorrow (Monday 2 December 2019)

The men are known to each other.
