A man has been charged following an investigation into an alleged home invasion on Sydney's lower north shore last month.
About 8.30pm on Monday 3 November 2025, police were called to a house on Rimmington Street, Artarmon, following reports of a break in.
Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command arrived and were told three men, dressed in face coverings and one of whom was armed with a knife, allegedly entered the back verandah of the property and restrained a 49-year-old woman.
The woman's hands were allegedly bound together with cable ties and her phone was stolen.
The men then entered the house and attempted to restrain a 52-year-old woman, however were unsuccessful.
The group then allegedly stole an amount of cash before leaving the premises.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The women were assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries but did not require transportation to hospital.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives – with the assistance from South West Metropolitan Region Operational Support Group - executed a search warrant at a house in South Granville this morning (Tuesday 9 December 2025), where an 18-year-old man was arrested.
During the search, police seized a mobile phone and a Toyota Corolla from the location for forensic examination.
The man was taken to Granville Police Station, where he was charged with kidnap in company with intent serious indictable occasion actual bodily harm.
He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today.
