Police charge man over obscene exposure at Rockdale

A man has been charged following an investigation into an alleged incident of obscene exposure in Sydney's south earlier this month.

Between 6.55am and 7.55am on Sunday 12 March 2023, a man was reported to have allegedly exposed himself and performed a sexual act in front of members of the public at a bus stop on Geeves Avenue, Rockdale.

A number of reports were made to police, and officers attached to Hurstville Police Transport Command commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, including a public appeal for assistance, investigators arrested a 49-year-old man at Kogarah Police Station about 11.20am today (Tuesday 28 March 2023).

He was charged with wilful and obscene exposure in/near public place/school.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear before Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 11 April 2023.
