Police charge man over several 'up-skirting' offences - Bondi

Police have charged a man over several alleged 'up-skirting' offences in Sydney's east.

On Friday 8 March 2019, a 58-year-old woman who was working at a premises on Bondi Road, Bondi, reported an incident where a man approached her from behind and used a mobile phone to film up her dress.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command commenced an investigation.

Yesterday (Friday 5 April 2019), investigators attended a home in Woollahra and arrested an 18-year-old man.

A mobile phone seized at the address was examined and numerous videos were located of 'up skirting' offences against eight unknown victims.

A small amount of cannabis was also located at the address.

The man was taken to Waverley Police Station and charged with film person's private parts without consent (x5), intentionally record inmate image without consent (x9), and possess prohibited drug.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on Tuesday 23 April 2019.

Inquiries into the matter continue.
