Police charge man over sexual act on train in Sydney's west

A man will appear in court next month after allegedly performing a sexual act on a train in Sydney's west yesterday.

About 6.20pm (Sunday 30 August 2020), a 33-year-old woman was travelling on a westbound train from Blacktown, when an unknown man sitting near her allegedly committed a sexual act in front of her.

The woman alerted staff when she arrived at Penrith Railway Station who contacted police.

Officers from the Police Transport Command attended and arrested a 34-year-old man at the Railway Station.

He was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with carry out sexual act with another without consent.

The Busby man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Tuesday 22 September 2020.

Inquiries are continuing.
