A man will face court today, charged over the alleged sexual assault of a woman in Sydney's inner west.
Detectives attached to Burwood Police Area Command commenced an investigation under Strike Force Brandum following reports a 27-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man known to her in Glebe in February 2021.
Following extensive inquiries, about 7.40pm last night (Friday 19 September 2025), police attended a property on Sibbick Street, Russell Lea, where they arrested a 44-year-old man.
He was taken to Burwood Police Station, where he was charged with sexual intercourse without consent.
The man was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 20 September 2025).
