A man will face court today charged over allegedly indecently assaulting a teenage girl on a bus travelling to Manly Wharf last month.
Around 3pm, on Tuesday 17 December 2019, a 15-year-old girl boarded a bus outside Manly Hospital. It travelled along Addison Road where a man got on and sat directly behind the girl
Police will allege in court that whilst the girl moved towards the rear of the bus, the man indecently assaulted her.
Passengers notified the bus driver and police were soon contacted.
Officers from the Northern Beaches Area Command arrived shortly after and following inquiries, the 59-year old man was taken to Manly Police Station.
The man was charged with intentionally sexually touching a child and has been granted strict conditional bail to appear before Manly Local Court today (Thursday 9 January 2019).
