Police charge man over St Albans hit-run

Brimbank Highway Patrol officers have charged a man following an alleged hit-run collision in St Albans on 9 August.

A 13-year-old St Albans boy was struck by a car on Main Road West just after 8:30am.

He was hospitalised with serious injuries.

A 60-year-Albanvale man was arrested today in Albanvale and charged with -

• dangerous driving causing serious injury

• drive manner dangerous

• fail to stop/render assistance

• fail to report to police

He was bailed to appear before Sunshine Magistrates' Court on 1 March.
