Police charge man over stabbing - Chatswood

A man has been charged over an alleged stabbing on Sydney's Lower North Shore overnight.

About 12.40am (Wednesday 21 April 2021), emergency services were called to Archer Street, Chatswood, following reports a man had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command located a 29-year-old man in a car with a stab wound to his leg.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital. He remains in a stable condition.

Detectives established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the incident.

A short time later, a 31-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested on Archer Street and taken to Chatswood Police Station.

The Chatswood man was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear at Hornsby Local Court today (Wednesday 21 April 2021).

Both men are known to each other.

The woman was released pending further inquiries.
