Police charge man over stabbing - Glebe

A man has been charged following a stabbing in Sydney's Inner West today.

Just after 8am (Thursday 24 November 2022), emergency services were called to Wentworth Park Road at Glebe, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command attended and found a 48-year-old man with wounds to his back and thigh.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Officers established a crime scene and seized four knives and a camping mallet to undergo forensic examination.

A 67-year-old man was arrested and taken to Newtown Police Station, where he was charged with cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder.

He was refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court tomorrow (Friday 25 November 2022).
