Police charge man over threats - Manly

A man has been charged after threats were allegedly made to members of the public in Sydney's northern beaches last week.

About 4.30pm on Friday (26 April 2019), police were called to Little Manly Cove Beach and Manly Wharf after reports a man was allegedly threatening members of the public and claiming to be in possession of a firearm.

No sighting of a firearm has been reported by the public.

Following inquiries and a public appeal, a 37-year-old man was arrested at Auburn Police Station about 12.20pm yesterday (Sunday 28 April 2019).

Investigators charged him with affray and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal).

The Auburn man was granted conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday 23 May 2019.
