Police charge man over two 2018 shootings - Enmore

A man has been charged by strike force detectives following an investigation into two alleged public place shootings in Sydney's Inner West.

About 4.15am on Friday 9 March 2018, a man allegedly discharged a firearm twice into the rear of a shop on Reiby Lane, Enmore, before leaving the scene on foot towards Reiby Street.

The following day (Saturday 10 March 2018) at about 1.30am, a white Subaru Outback station wagon stopped at the same location and allegedly discharged five shots from the passenger's side of the vehicle towards the rear of the shop.

Officers from Inner West Police Area Command established Strike Force Wangalo to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shootings.

Following extensive inquiries and public appeals, detectives arrested a 28-year-old man at Revesby Police Station about 10.40am yesterday (Monday 18 May 2020).

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station and charged with two counts of firing at dwelling-houses or buildings with reckless disregard for the safety of any person.

The man was refused bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court today (Tuesday 19 May 2020).
