Detectives from Major Collision Investigation Unit have charged a Plumpton man over a fatal collision which occurred in June last year.
Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Victoria and Peel Streets just after 12pm on 28 June.
It is alleged a truck was turning left into Peel Street when it struck a woman who later died at hospital.
The driver has been charged with dangerous driving causing death.
The 58-year-old has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 26 May.
