Police charge man with attempted murder at Rostrevor, South Australia

Eastern District Police have charged a man with attempt murder following a firearms incident at Rostrevor overnight.

Just after 10pm on Saturday 11 December, police and emergency services were called to a home on Jury Avenue after reports a man had allegedly been threatened with a firearm and shot at after a dispute between two men known to each other.

The occupant of the house, 52-year-old man, was not injured. Police, together with the assistance of Star Force, set up cordons in the area and after investigation a 54-year-old Rostrevor man was arrested without incident nearby.

He has been charged with attempt murder, property damage, and possess firearm without a license.

He has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates court on Monday 13 December.
