Police charge man with break and enter, larceny at Guildford

A man will appear in court today charged over a number of alleged break, enter and steal offences from vehicles in Sydney's southwest.

Over the past months, police received reports of a series of break, enter and steal incidents in the Guildford and Granville areas.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command commenced investigations.

About 9.10pm yesterday (Saturday 7 March 2020), police were conducting patrols along Railway Terrace, Guildford when they identified a man who could assist with their inquiries.

Upon sighting police, the man ran from the location. He was arrested a short distance later and taken to Granville Police Station.

The 29-year-old man was charged with break enter and steal (six counts), enter enclosed land (three counts), goods in custody (two counts) and larceny.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 8 March 2020).
