Police charge man with bribing a public officer, South Australia

A man will face court after he allegedly attempted to bribe a public officer.

Police will allege the man was undergoing a practical driving test on Friday 18 October last year at Elizabeth, when he attempted to bribe the examiner from the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure, after failing his test.

Following investigations by detectives from Northern District CIB, the 23-year-old from the Barossa region was arrested and charged on Wednesday 5 February with bribe a public officer. He has been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrate Court on 13 March.
