Two people will face court as an investigation into prohibited drug supply continues in the state's west.
Officers attached to Central North Police District established Strike Force Gerlach in January 2026 to investigate the ongoing supply of prohibited drugs in Nyngan.
Following inquiries, about 7.30am yesterday (Monday 30 March 2026), police executed a search warrant at a home on Pangee Street, Nyngan, where they arrested a 27-year-old man and 31-year old man.
About 10:45am the same day, police executed a search warrant at a home on Oxley Street, Nyngan.
During the search, police allegedly located and seized several electronic devices which will be forensically examined.
Both men were taken to Nyngan Police Station. The 27-year-old was charged with 15 offences including:
- Nine counts of supply prohibited drug less than or equal to small quantity
- Three counts of supply prohibited drug greater than small and less than or equal to indictable quantity,
- Supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity.
- Supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, and
- Organises/conducts/assists drug premises.
The 31-year-old was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic).
Both men were granted conditional bail to face Nyngan Local Court on Thursday 30 April 2026.
