Police charge man with drug supply after 'ice' found in shoe at Batemans Bay

Two men have been charged with drug supply on the state's South Coast.

About 8am yesterday (Wednesday 26 February 2020) officers from South Coast Police District stopped a Hyundai Getz on Beach Road, Batemans Bay.

During a subsequent search of the man, police allegedly located the drug 'ice' hidden in the man's shoes.

The 40-year-old man was arrested and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station, where he was charged with drug supply.

He was granted conditional bail and is due to face Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday 16 March 2020.

Following inquiries, investigators attended a resort in Batemans Bay and spoke with a 44-year-old man.

A search warrant was executed, with officers seizing 'ice', MDMA, cannabis, drug paraphernalia, gift cards and resealable plastic bags.

The man was arrested and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station, where he was charged with three counts of supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug and larceny.

He was refused bail and is due to face Batemans Bay Local Court today (Thursday 27 February 2020).

Inquiries are continuing.
