Police Charge Man With DV Offences At Lismore

A man will face court tomorrow charged following alleged DV offences in the state's north.

About 7.30am on Saturday 29 November 2025, police were called to a home in Goonellabah following reports of a domestic-violence-related incident.

At the scene, police were told that three people had allegedly been assaulted and threated by a man known to them before the man left the scene.

Officers attached to Richmond Police District commenced inquiries to locate the man with the assistance of the Central Metropolitan Domestic Violence High Risk Offenders Team (DVHROT).

Following extensive inquiries, officers from the Central Metropolitan DVHROT and South Sydney Police Area Command attended a unit on Pitt Street, Waterloo, today (Tuesday 23 December 2025).

Upon arrival, a 35-year-old man fled the unit by climbing down from a second story balcony where he was immediately arrested by police.

During a search of the man, police allegedly located and seized a knife, scissors, and 0.18g heroin.

The man was taken to Mascot Police Station where three outstanding warrants were executed.

He was also charged with two counts of custody of knife in public place, breach of bail, and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 7 tomorrow (Wednesday 24 December 2025).
