Police Charge Man With Firearm Offences - Arndell Park

A man will face court after he allegedly brandished an imitation firearm in Sydney's west.

About 1.55pm last Sunday (1 March 2026), emergency services were called to a business on Vangeli Street, Arndell Park, following reports a man was allegedly armed with a gun.

When the 22-year-old man refused to leave the building, police from Blacktown Police Area Command established a perimeter before resources from PolAir, the Public Order and Riot Squad and the Tactical Operations Units were called.

Just before 8.45pm, the man was arrested and a replica firearm was seized.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries before he was taken to hospital under police guard for further assessment.

Yesterday (Wednesday 4 March 2026) the man was discharged from Blacktown Hospital and taken to Blacktown Police Station.

He was charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon, possess unauthorised firearm, acquire firearm subject to prohibition order and steal from person.

He was refused bail to appear before Blacktown Local Court today Thursday 5 March 2026
