Police Charge Man With Firearm Offences At Auburn

A man has been charged after allegedly threatening two people with a firearm in Sydney's west.

About 3:30pm yesterday (Sunday 4 May 2025), officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command attended Auburn railway station, following reports a man had threatened two train passengers.

On arrival, officers located a 22-year-old man. Following a search, police located a "Gel Blaster" style pistol.

The man was arrested and taken to Auburn Police Station where he was charged with:

  • Common assault
  • Stalk/intimidate intend fear, physical harm (two counts)
  • Possess unauthorised pistol in public place and
  • Acquire pistol - subject to firearms prohibition order

He was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court today, Monday 5 May 2025.
