A man will face court tomorrow after police seized a large number of explosives from a property in the State's south today.
About 9.45am (Thursday 5 August 2026), officers attached to Murray River Police District attended a property on Baird Street, Culcairn, about 50km north of Albury, to execute a search warrant.
During the search of the premises, police allegedly located and seized 300 blast cap detonators and 27 rounds of varying calibre ammunition.
A 62-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Albury Police Station where he was charged with handle explosive without authorising license, possess ammunition without holding license and breach of bail
The man was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 5 tomorrow (Friday 7 August 2026).
