Police charge man with high-range PCA after hitting parked car at Croydon

A man has been charged with high-range drink driving after allegedly hitting a parked car in Sydney's Inner West overnight.

About 2.20am (Thursday 16 July 2020), police were called to Chelmsford Avenue, Croydon, following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

Police have been told the Subaru Forester hit an unoccupied parked car.

Officers from Burwood Police Area Command attended, and the driver, a 65-year-old man, was subjected to a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Burwood Police Station where he was subjected to a breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.207.

The man was issued a Court Attendance Notice for drive with high range PCA.

He is due to appear at Burwood Local Court on Monday 31 August 2020.
