Police Charge Man With High-range PCA At Blacktown

A man has been charged with high range drink driving in Sydney's west yesterday.

About 8:30am (Wednesday 25 June 2025), police were patrolling Flushcombe Road, Blacktown, when they observed a Toyota C-HRV allegedly travelling at 82km/h in a 40 km/h school zone.

Officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command stopped the vehicle and the driver underwent a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result.

The 43-year-old driver was arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was subjected to a secondary breath analysis, allegedly returning a reading of 0.163.

The man was issued a court attendance notice for drive with high range PCA, to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Thursday 17 July 2025.

His driver's licence was suspended, and he was also issued an infringement notice for speeding.
