A man has been charged with high-range drink driving after being stopped in the Southern Tablelands.
About 4.30pm on Friday 16 January 2026, officers attached to The Hume Police District stopped a vehicle on Roberts Street, Crookwell, after he was seen allegedly driving erratically.
He was subjected to a roadside breath test and allegedly returned a positive reading.
Checks of his NSW driver's licence showed he was disqualified from driving until March 2028.
The 34-year-old man was arrested taken to Goulburn Police Station where he returned an alleged blood alcohol reading of 0.199.
He was charged with drive with high-range PCA and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period. He was also charged with destroy or damage property for an unrelated incident.
He was refused bail and appeared before Bail Division Court 3 on Saturday 17 January 2026, where he was formally refused bail to appear in Goulburn Local Court on Thursday 22 January 2026.
