Police Charge Man With High Range PCA At Mangoplah

A man has been charged with high range PCA in the state's south.

About 10.45am yesterday (Monday 1 June 2026), officers attached to Albury Highway Patrol responded to Holbrook Road, Mangoplah, at the intersection of Granville Lane, about 36km south of Wagga Wagga, following a driving complaint.

Officers pulled over the van and spoke to the driver – a 29-year-old man.

He was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station, where he was subjected to a secondary test, which allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.302.

Further checks revealed the man had a Victorian licence, and was disqualified from driving until January 2030.

He was charged with high range PCA and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.

He was refused bail to appear in Bail Division Court 5 today (Tuesday 2 June 2026).
