Police charge man with historic sexual, indecent assaults - Condell Park

A man has been charged over alleged historic sexual and indecent assaults of two girls in Sydney's south-west.

Detectives from Bankstown Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports a girl – then aged 12 – had allegedly been sexually and indecently assaulted by the man at a business in Simmat Avenue, Condell Park, in 1998/1999.

A second girl contacted police after she was allegedly indecently assaulted by the man at the same location in 2014.

Following extensive inquiries, detectives attended the Condell Park business last Friday (8 March 2019), and arrested a 70-year-old man.

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he has been charged with six counts of assault with acts of indecency, and one count of sexual intercourse without consent.

The man has been granted strict conditional bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court on the Wednesday 13 March 2019.

Court orders have been granted protecting the victims.
