Police Charge Man With Murder After Stabbing - Concord

A man has been charged with murder following an alleged stabbing in Sydney's Inner West yesterday.

About 12.10pm yesterday (Sunday 8 March 2026), emergency services were called to a house on Spring Street, Concord, following reports of a concern for welfare.

Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command attended and located a man – aged 37 – with a stab wound to his chest.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

Police have established a crime scene and Burwood detectives have commenced an investigation into the incident.

A second man – aged 41 – was arrested at the home and taken to Burwood Police Station.

Following inquiries, the man has been charged with murder.

He was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today (Monday 9 March 2026).
