Police charge man with murder at Sutherland

A man has been charged with murder following the death of two people in Sydney's south.

Just after 8am (Tuesday 6 August 2019), emergency services were called to Tudar Road, Sutherland, following a concern for welfare.

Police found the bodies of a man and woman in the home; they had each sustained a number of injuries.

A 46-year-old man was arrested and taken to hospital under police guard for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

The man was released from hospital today (Saturday 10 August 2019) and taken to Maroubra Police Station where he was charged with two counts of murder.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Sunday 11 August 2019).
