Police charge man with nearly 30 firearm offences - Mosman

A man has been charged with nearly 30 offences after police seized over 350 firearms on Sydney's north shore.

On Tuesday 18 May 2021, officers from North Shore Police Area Command attended a home in Rangers Avenue at Mosman, to conduct a safe storage inspection of the firearms secured at the premises.

A number of concerns in relation to the Firearms Act 1996 were identified and an investigation commenced.

On Thursday 27 May 2021, officers returned to the house and issued a firearms suspension warning and seized over 350 firearms.

Following further inquiries an 85-year-old man was issued with a Court Attendance Notice today (Thursday 5 August 2021), for unregistered firearm (x11), not keep firearm safely (x5), and not produce registered firearm (x12).

He is expected to appear in Manly Local Court on Thursday 16 November 2021.
