Police charge man with possession of child abuse material - Alexandria

A man has been charged with allegedly possessing child abuse material at Campsie today.

On Wednesday 28 August 2018, police executed a search warrant at a home on Brandling Street, Alexandria.

Numerous items were seized from the premises including electronic devices which allegedly contained child abuse material.

Following extensive inquiries, a 60-year-old man attended Campsie Police Station today (Wednesday 28 August 2019), where he was arrested.

The man was charged with three counts of Possession of Child Abuse Material and one count of Use Carriage Service to Access Child Pornography.

He was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today (Wednesday 28 August 2019), where he was granted conditional bail to reappear on Wednesday 11 September 2019.
