Police Charge Man With Robbery Offences At Blacktown

A man has been charged with alleged robbery offences while armed with a knife in Sydney's west.

About 8.30am today (Wednesday 31 December 2025), police were called to a shopping centre on Carlisle Avenue, Mount Druitt, following reports a man had allegedly threatened a 71-year-old man with a knife before taking cash and running away.

About 9am today, police were called to a shopping centre on Patrick Street, Blacktown, following reports a man had allegedly assaulted a 37-year-old man and brandished a knife before leaving.

Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command attended and arrested a 22-year-old man at Blacktown Railway Station a short time later.

A knife was located and seized nearby.

No injuries have been reported.

The 22-year-old man was taken to Blacktown Police Station and charged with aggravated robbery with offensive weapon, and assault with intent to rob armed with offensive weapon.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 6 tomorrow (Thursday 1 January 2025).
