Police charge man with Sturt Street murder, South Australia

A man will face court this afternoon charged with the recent murder of Nathan Russell at his inner city unit.

Major Crime Detectives assisted by Star Group officers arrested the 24-year-old-man in the early hours of this morning at South Terrace, Adelaide.

Yesterday police declared the death of Nathan Russell a major crime, after his body was discovered inside his Sturt Street unit on Tuesday night. (26 January)

The investigation is continuing with Detectives searching three premises in Adelaide and the southern suburbs today.

Police urge anyone who saw any suspicious activity around the unit complex in Sturt Street in the city between Monday night, 25 January and 6.30pm on Tuesday 26 January to contact police.

The arrested man is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today. Police will also be applying for a suppression order on the identity of the arrested man.
