Police Charge Man With Traffic Offences At Port Macquarie

A man will face court today charged following a crash at Port Macquarie last night.

About 10.20pm yesterday (Thursday 9 October 2025), emergency services were called to Hastings River Drive, Port Macquarie, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District attended and were told a vehicle had crashed and rolled.

The alleged driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old man, left the area on foot and was located a short time later on West Street.

The driver underwent a preliminary roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station where a secondary breath analysis allegedly returned a result of 0.082.

He was charged with drive with middle range PCA, negligent driving, never licensed person drive vehicle on road, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, and use unregistered registrable Class A motor vehicle on road.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 1 today (Friday 10 October 2025).
