Police charge man with trafficking firearms

Detectives from the Illicit Firearms Squad have charged a man following a gun-trafficking investigation.

Investigators arrested the man at his Clementine Boulevard address in Tarneit yesterday.

The 27-year-old was interviewed and charged with possess traffickable quantity of firearms.

He was bailed to appear at Werribee Magistrates' Court on 27 November.

The investigation remains ongoing.
