Police charge man with weapon and drug offences at Auburn

A man has been charged after he was allegedly found in possession of drugs and a prohibited weapon.

At 6.44am today (Friday 30 October 2020), officers from Auburn Police Area Command, assisted by South West Metro Operational Support Group (OSG), attended the premises of a man who is the subject of a Firearms Prohibition Order.

When police searched the home at Myall Street, Auburn, they found a prohibited 10cm flick-knife and drugs.

The 31-year-old man was arrested and taken to Auburn Police Station where he was charged with possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit-T2 and possess prohibited drug.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday 10 December 2020.
